Bunny Photo Block

I finished this block over the weekend just in time for Easter .. it was a gift for my Grandma. The pictures are of our beautiful daughters, although they are just a bit out dated ... like a year and a half out dated :-/ ... but you get the idea :-) I made two other similar blocks and will post of those as well ...

The blocks are composed of an 2x6, two colors of paint with a crackle finish, scrapbook paper, ribbon, floral wire, small clothes pins (to hold the photos), and bunny and floral establishments ... oh, and mod podge :-)

I'd love to hear what you think so please leave a comment ... and be sure to check back later for pics of the other photo blocks!!!

Easter Table Decor

I think I've mentioned in a previous post or two about how much pride I take in making our kitchen table look nice while also reflecting the changing seasons and holidays. Its the one thing that can be kept "nice" with minimal effort throughout the day, unlike the rest of the house with two VERY active little girls :) Well, this the Easter Display ...

I found this decorative tree about 7 years ago around Christmas time but the pastel gems on the ends were screaming Easter Tree to me :) What do you think?

The ornaments were a great find at the Dollar Store in Ellensburg a long time ago ... Bunnies, Chicks, Eggs, Birds and Bird Houses ...

The candle holders are actually egg holders, however, blown or plastic eggs wouldn't last a day in our house with the kiddos ... so they will remain candle holder till the girls get a little older :)

Lots of Spring/Easter Colors!!!

I'd love to hear your thoughts or see pics of your "Easter Table Decor" so please feel free to share :)

Bunny HOP

I already had a project in mind when I asked my Hubby to pick up these H-O-P letters for me about 3 weeks ago ... the final result is no where near my original design idea but I am so "hoppy" with how they turned out :) Couldn't keep a smile off of my face as I finished them up last night! Hope you all like them too ...

 Supplies - Part 1

Part 2 - Not pictured is my drill press, chop saw and belt disc sander ... not part of the original plan :)

The finished creation!!! Do you see the bunny?

LOVE the "bouncy" eggs :) Bounce, bounce, bounce ... Like a bunny! HA!!

A few more pics from different angles, including close-up on each letter:

And finally ... at home on our mantel with our EASTER banner ... featured in an earlier post HERE

Hoping for more followers so if you like this post, HOP on board :) Thanks and Happy Crafting!!!

Corky Craft

We remodeled our kitchen about a year ago and I've been pondering about what I wanted to put in the back splash above our cook-top. I liked the idea of hanging trivets as they are both functional and decorative however I was unable to find a set that I liked and would fit the space. I finally came across one trivet that I liked and then remembered some frames I had and our wine cork collection and TA-DAA!

1 of 2 finished projects hanging on the wall

The supplies ...

A few more views from a couple different angles ... I'm pretty happy with how it turned out & its functional!!! :-)

I love comments so please feel free :-)
